Create a Meaningful Christmas

I have met many people, friends, acquaintances, and clients who feel great stress as Christmas approaches. Some even feel a sense of dislike or discomfort. It often comes from all the expectations and things we feel we must do.
We want everything to be perfect, with gifts, food, and traditions. In the middle of it all, we might also feel the pressure to travel here and there to visit family and friends, and all of this can easily create both pressure and stress.

Many people also carry memories from childhood Christmases that were not always positive. But you know what? This Christmas is your chance to create new memories. It is your opportunity to shape a Christmas you truly look forward to, one that feels meaningful, warm, and calm.

Let go of all the “shoulds” and “musts,” and start reflecting on what really matters to you.

Many people talk about how much they dislike Christmas, but maybe it is time to change that.
You are an adult now. You do not have to let the past decide what your Christmas should feel like. It is up to you to create the kind of Christmas you want.

Let this Christmas be on your own terms, with less stress, more presence, and more joy.

If you have children, think about what memories you want them to carry with them. Hearing every year how stressful or unpleasant Christmas is will not bring them joy. Create a Christmas that feels safe, calm, and filled with love, one that both you and they can look forward to.

Christmas becomes what you make it. Let it be meaningful, truly meaningful. 🧡

(In the picture you can see two of my three daughters during our first Christmas in Spain. The fireplace warmed up the cold stone house and we had just realized that in winter it’s usually colder inside than outside.)
