When Life Finds a New Spring

Spring is here!
As I write this, I’m in Sweden, and here, spring is in full bloom. Almost all the trees have burst into leaf, spring flowers are popping up everywhere, and nature feels new and fresh. It’s a bit like magic – how all those brown and grey plants suddenly vibrate with life. Everything is coming alive again. And every time I witness that shift from winter to spring, I think: that’s exactly how life works. No matter how dark or stagnant something feels, there is always a chance to begin again. Spring reminds us that we have the power to let go of the old and allow something new to grow – within us, around us, in our choices and in our dreams.

I’ve had to start over many times in life, in different areas. Sometimes it’s been easy, other times it has taken time, processing, and courage. It has meant late nights, self-reflection, tears, patience – and above all, daring to take the first step without knowing exactly when it will bear fruit. Timing is something I often come back to. Because I’ve learned that things don’t always move at the pace I imagined. The change I thought would happen quickly could sometimes take months, even years. But one thing I know for sure: if I hadn’t taken the first step, the right time would never have come either.

Taking action, acting, creates opportunity. So when I see the buds bursting open in the May breeze, I feel hope. Not just for nature – but for life as a whole! Spring reminds us that we don’t need to be finished, perfect, or even sure of what comes next. We just need to be willing to begin, to plant something and make space for the new. And that, in itself, is enough for everything to one day start blooming!
