I am calm, strong and safe

This week I want to share a few words that mean a lot to me:
I am calm, strong and safe

Can the words we say to ourselves really make a big difference? Yes, they can. What we feed ourselves with, what we say or think, the brain listens to. When we are in the middle of a difficult situation it is of course hard, sometimes even impossible, to control our thoughts. But once the storm has settled a little, we need to regain a small part of control, step by step. One way is to give ourselves the words we most need to hear.

Many years ago, I found myself in a very difficult situation. I felt stressed, insecure and unsafe. I could not influence the circumstances around me at that time, but I realized that what I could influence was my inner wellbeing. And that became my highest priority. That is why I decided to repeat these three words to myself, again and again. I am calm, strong and safe. It was exactly what I needed more of.

When my brain received the repeated message that I am calm, strong and safe, even in the middle of the storm, something began to shift. My energy grew stronger. I found more courage. I could feel more safety in myself and in my choices.

Which words do you need to hear right now?
The words can vary depending on how you feel and what you need in different situations.
The important thing is that you find the words that help you move forward.

Because the words you say to yourself do make a difference.
